Version 2026-10-10.2
Cookies
Effective 2026-10-10. The storage Vynook uses, and which parts wait for a choice.
Status
Draft version 2026-10-10.2, effective 2026-10-10. This page describes how the product works today. It is not a certification of legal compliance.
Strictly necessary
Firebase Authentication uses browser storage to keep you signed in. That storage is required for the account and is not optional.
The consent choice itself is stored in localStorage under vynook-consent, with a consent version and the time of the choice. That version is separate from the Terms version stored on the account.
Analytics
PostHog is not started until analytics is accepted for this browser. Accepting can store a PostHog identifier. Rejecting, or withdrawing later, stops later captures and clears the PostHog identity in this browser when the library was loaded.
Sound preference, a dismissed hint, and a hidden setup note stay in localStorage so the room remembers a local choice. They are not sent as analytics.
Optional embeds
YouTube and Cal.com load only after you allow embeds or choose to play. Opening the external link does not load their embed script.
Marketing
Vynook does not run a marketing cookie or an advertising pixel.
